Dr. Ruffo Offering Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy

Dr. Ann Ruffo is now accepting new patients for Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy at CCCHC Hazen Clinic.

Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) is a series of hands-on techniques that can be used to manipulate muscles, joints, and soft tissue to help improve symptoms and functioning for many common musculoskeletal concerns in addition to traditional medical treatments. Dr. Ruffo completed training for OMT in medical school and furthered this training during her time in residency. She has experience applying manipulations to patients of all age ranges and uses several techniques that include soft tissue, myofascial release, trigger points, muscle energy, counter strain, and cranial-sacral.

Dr. Ruffo’s OMT training included work with elderly, collegiate athletes, post-concussion syndrome, newborns with breast feeding difficulties, patients with chronic pain, and OB patients. OMT is a great adjunct if you are struggling with pain and are looking for more options to help with your symptoms. Dr. Ruffo is taking new patients currently at CCCHC Hazen and is also available to see patients specifically for musculoskeletal concerns that may benefit from OMT.
