LeadLocal is training for aspiring, elected and appointed leaders serving on boards, councils and committees. The training will help participants feel better prepared to serve; recognize components of an effective meeting; understand different personality styles and how they can effectively work together; and use effective tools when dealing with conflict. Behavioral health providers Melissa Herman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Masters Addiction Counselor and Talitha Schnaidt, Licensed Profession Counselor took part in an extensive training program through The Maiberger Institute based out of Boulder, Colorado. These providers are now certified to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
